As a new NC resident in need of a dentist, I am thrilled to have found Dawson Modern Dentistry. First impressions are important. My initial contact with Karla over the phone gave me a good feeling. Sure enough the entire staff is phenomenal. The equipment is state of the art and the operation of each was explained as it was used. Dr. Dawson’s assessment of my teeth was very thorough. What an amazing office!! I am terrified of going to the dentist and Dawson Modern Dentistry put those fears to rest! The staff is so kind, welcoming, friendly, sweet, comforting and always smiling!! I love that they walk me through each step so I know what to expect instead of sitting in the chair for hours with no end in sight. They are very gentle and thorough!!! I never feel a thing. TLDR: Friendly, welcome, accommodating & attentive staff! The long read: Dr.Dawson is very transparent with information, explaining my X-rays and giving honest feedback on best procedures and dental products. I have very sensitive gums and my cleanings usually require numbing gel but Dr.Dawson was so gentle, the numbing gel was not necessary. Listening to her explain everything going on with my oral health and answering all my questions, made me feel safe and that I could relax and trust her with my oral health. The office is clean, modern (no pun intended) and the staff are SUPER friendly! Racquel, at the front desk, is a ray of sunshine and professionalism. Ashleigh the dental assistant kept me at ease and made sure I was comfortable and in a good mental state for what would usually be an anxiety producing procedure but I was as calm as can be. Finally, I am currently eating as I write this. Usually after dental visits my mouth is out of commission until the next day. Only goes to show how Top Tier Dr.Dawson is at taking care of patients! (No shade to my prior dentists, lol 😄) Looking forward to being a long time patient!

Had a wonderful cleaning here. Very polite and attentive staff. The office is brand new and features state of the art technology as far as I can tell. They have a lot of lovely amenities to make going to the dentist as pain-free and enjoyable as possible. And they are all so gentle and communicative, making sure I understood what was happening at each step. My hygienist was Katie and she was so friendly and very thorough. I usually dread that part of my cleaning and she made me feel so comfortable and the cleaning flew by. Definitely recommend this dentist if you’re looking for one!

I came here for a chipped tooth while on vacations in North Carolina. The facilities are well taken care of and it even smells good inside. While you are getting your teeth worked on they turn off the lights and you can put whatever you want on the TV that’s on the roof, and listen on the headphones they provide. This is great but you don’t even need it with how engaged they are with their patients. Also, they don’t have the huge light over your head like every other dentist I have been to, they just a small light on their head and they even give you glasses so it does not bother your eyes. Katie performed a dental cleanup and explained the whole process like I have never been explained at a dentist office before. She took her time and did an AWESOME job and was SUPER friendly. Dr Dawson was also super nice and detailed and did a great job repairing my chipped tooth! Everyone, literally everyone in this office is super nice from the moment you come in, until you go out. If I could describe this place in a few words it would be: A spa for you teeth. I would never miss a dentist appointment if I lived here! Thank you for an amazing experience!

I had my first visit with Dr Dawson today. Not only does the office have a much warmer feel than your typical dentistry, the staff was great as soon as I walked in. Racquel (spelling might be wrong, sorry!!) was fantastic and helpful checking in, and the dental assistant got me back early and was super personable. Dr Dawson spent time getting to know me personally, as well as any goals I came with, and it really gave the impression that she cares deeply about the overall wellbeing of her patients. After only one visit, I absolutely trust Dr Dawson to give me the best recommendations for my interests only, not hers. It was a great experience, so much so I already have two follow ups scheduled and have shared my great experience with my husband so he can schedule an appt as well. I could not recommend Dr Dawson and her office enough!

Dr. Dawson and her entire practice are professionals. Do not make the mistake of judging Dr. Dawson by her young face. My previous dentist ( much older ) told me I needed surgery to get a tooth pulled because of my curvy roots, but Dr. Dawson saw the x-ray and without flinching scheduled my extraction. The procedure was painless for me and flawless for her. She KNOWS what she is doing. And will keep you in the pilot seat of treatment. Raquel, the friendly receptionist will always welcome you with a friendly smile. And Dr. Dawson's very capable assistant miss Ashley, not only can she make temp crowns under 30 minutes, but she keeps me up to date with what shows to watch. I never feel like I'm going to the dentist, more like checking in on old friends.

When I drove up to Dawson Modern Denistry Dr. Dawson was out front doing a handstand. This upside down person said “Hi Stuart.” Was I shocked? A bit. It was the most unusual start to a dentist visit ever! Dr. Dawson introduced me to Ashley and the two of them took very good care of me. Neither one made me feel guilty about not going to the dentist in a long long time. Both took their time explaining everything as they went, as well as showing me lots of pictures of the inside of my mouth. Not pretty! This place is the best! I never had a dental experience like this! First, the term “Modern” should be taken out of the name. Nothing modern about it. It was futuristic. Dr. Dawson took a 3D scan of my teeth for my Clear Aligners mold. The whole time I was thinking when was I going to have to put my mouth in that play-doh putty like other offices. Nope. 3D scan. And they showed it to me on the screen. Super impressive!! Secondly, they did X-Rays for my teeth and the machine they used looked like something from a Sci-Fi film. Futuristic. Top of the line equipment for sure. Made everything easy and simple. Then, while they were doing my cleaning there was a TV on the ceiling. I was laid back watching tv while they did their work! Never seen that before. They also gave me sunglasses to block out the lights. And to top it all off, they gave me a free coffee mug as a gift. AMAZING!!! I will definitely be back. The office was clean and looked really inviting. The staff was real friendly and they knew what they were doing. See you all in 6 months!!!

I relocated to Charlotte last year and tried a dentist in Northlake and it was probably the worst experience I could of had with a dentist. I had such an excellent experience at Dawson Modern Dentistry, beginning to end! (I'm sure dental patients don't get to say that very often, lol.) First, the staff is super friendly and helpful. I was greeted at the door by Raquel and had a simple check in (because she sent me the link to all new patient paperwork, and I was able to complete it online prior to the appointment). My hygenist Lori gave me a tour of the office (which is so sleek and clean) and explained all of the fancy x-rays machines to me. As an added bonus, I had a gift waiting for me in the patient chair! Second, all patient services were professional and also, cool! The office takes a 3-D scan of your teeth so that they can keep a record of your bite across visits; I had never seen that technology before! Also, they use a high-tech camera to take up-close photos of your teeth and then display any areas of concern on a monitor so that you can see exactly what they're describing. Third, Dr. Dawson is super kind and knowledgeable. We spoke a bit about areas of concern and during my cleaning, she told me what she was going to do before she did it and adjusted anytime I felt discomfort. I (unfortunately) had a cavity, and she filled it on the spot so that I wouldn't have to schedule another visit. I'm so glad that I chose this practice and will definitely stick with Dr. Dawson for my dental needs!

This was HANDS DOWN THE BEST experience I’ve ever had at a Dentist office! I’m relatively new to Charlotte and was referred here from a mom in a moms group. I was looking for someone who is caring and informative. I usually feel like I’m just being charged at other dentist offices and walk out not knowing the full breakdown of what’s going on with my teeth. Dr. Dawson and her assistant Hailey went out of their way to make me extremely comfortable and they took their time showing me on the tv monitor what is wrong with my teeth. They gave me many methods of preventing any future issues and even gave me a clear layout of of a treatment plan that will work for my schedule and budget. When I called back in the next day, the phone representative Raquel took her time explaining many cost effective ways to go about getting all of my dental work completed before the end of the year. I truly appreciate everyone’s teamwork and patience with me understanding my insurance and making me feel comfortable! They even offered me a pillow or a blanket to make sure I was comfortable while Dr. Dawson cleaned my teeth! This is the best office in Charlotte!

I was so comfortable I could have fallen asleep while there but I was so overwhelmed while conversing with Haley, Rachel and Dr. Dawson, I felt like I finally came home. Before my arrival at Dawson Modern Dentistry my mouth was synonymous to a highway with potholes and an unsteady bridge, but when I left, the bridge was stable and the potholes had been accessed. Dr. Dawson and her staff are awesome! My whole dental experience has been a complete relief. From the pain that made me seek out a dentist (which while I was in the office, was almost at a 0 WOW!!) to my anxiety that causes me not to seek out a dentist. There are a few issues I’ve been dealing with that have gotten worse over time and one turned into a major problem. I was able to get in to see the dentist quickly and there was great communication even before getting to the office. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately for me, the first thing I needed done was to have at least one tooth removed. Dr. Dawson was concerned with whatever I was concerned with, not just what she could see. She eased my mind and helped me to map out a plan that will get my teeth and overall oral health back to a happier place. BTW the tooth removal was oddly painless. That’s right, painLESS.
