Dr. Ashley Dawson
Originally from Georgia, Dr. Dawson is excited to provide outstanding patient care right here in Charlotte, NC. Her love for restoring smiles began in high school when she had the opportunity to shadow a dentist. Observing the unique and lasting doctor-patient relationships that dentists hold and their ability to empower confidence with a healthy, radiant smile, she immediately knew she wanted to uplift others as a dentist.
Dr. Dawson credits her passionate and diligent work ethic to her significant background in gymnastics and competitive cheerleading, winning two state championships and one world championship in competitive cheerleading. This led her to the University of Oregon, a frontrunner and powerhouse in the sport of Acrobatics and Tumbling. After earning her Bachelor of Science degree, she achieved her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at Howard University College of Dentistry and completed her General Practice Residency (GPR) at NYU Lutheran Medical Center.
Today, Dr. Dawson is making a positive difference in the lives of her patients with high-quality, personalized dentistry in Mint Hill. She knows that dental visits can often feel intimidating, so she’s intentionally built her practice around optimal comfort and welcoming care. Kindhearted and personable, Dr. Dawson will go the extra mile to ensure every appointment is fun, relaxing, and informative.
When she’s not caring for patients, she enjoys traveling with her husband, reading self-improvement books, listening to podcasts, and playing with her pup! For Dr. Dawson, sports continue to be an essential part of her everyday life. You can catch her judging for Acrobatics and Tumbling meets, cheering on her favorite football teams, and keeping up with competitive gymnastics.

Dr. Brianna Smith
Originally from Wilmington, NC, Dr. Brianna Smith is passionate about using dentistry to create positive, life-changing experiences for her patients. From a young age, she recognized the power of a smile to brighten someone’s day, and she saw firsthand how oral health could impact confidence. These experiences inspired Dr. Smith to pursue dentistry with the goal of ensuring her patients always feel cared for, respected, and empowered.
Dr. Smith attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate degree before earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine. She then went on to complete advanced training through an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Nashville. Patients know Dr. Smith for her gentle touch, friendly chairside manner, and her willingness to go the extra mile to make every appointment comfortable and stress-free.
Her philosophy is simple: every patient deserves to feel confident in their smile and cared for with compassion. Dr. Smith takes time to listen, explain, and provide personalized treatment options, always putting her patients’ needs and comfort first.
Outside of the office, Dr. Smith enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends. As a loyal sports fan, she can often be found cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers during football season and rooting for the Boston Celtics on the basketball court.
