Katie

Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Katie has been practicing dental hygiene in North Carolina for over 14 years. She has extensive training in all aspects of dentistry and experience with patients of all ages. Katie takes pride in making all of her patients feel comfortable and calm, understanding that the dental chair can be extremely fear-inducing for many. She is immensely passionate about educating all of her patients about proper oral hygiene and its profound correlation with total body health. Katie is obsessed with science, health and wellness and is always researching the latest in holistic practices. When she is not fighting gingivitis, Katie spends most of her time listening to self improvement podcasts, working out, playing in the great outdoors, or researching and practicing the latest biohacking trends.

Daisia

Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Daisia is originally from Asheville, NC and moved to Charlotte, NC in 2006. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro in 2017 and obtained her dental hygiene degree from Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) in 2023. Daisia is very passionate about healthcare and helping others. She spent five years as a pharmacy technician before directing her focus to dental hygiene. Her overall objective is to promote optimal general body health by increasing the awareness and importance of oral health through patient-centered treatment and education. During her free time, Daisia enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching sports, listening to music, and trying new restaurants!

Hannah

Dental Assistant
Hannah just moved back home to Charlotte to continue her career as a dental assistant after previously being a first-grade teacher. She brings her love of working with people and making everyone feel relaxed and comfortable, from the youngest to the oldest patients. When Hannah is not working, she enjoys spending time with her pup, Lane, hiking, cheering on her beloved Virginia Tech Hokies and Carolina Panthers, and listening to true crime podcasts.

Arju

Dental Assistant
Arju is a dedicated Dental Assistant with 6 years of experience, starting in the Air Force Reserve and still serving today. Originally from Columbia, SC, now based in Charlotte, NC. Arju has a true passion for dental care and takes pride in helping patients feel comfortable and cared for. Known for working well with people, Arju fosters strong connections with both colleagues and patients. Outside of work, Arju enjoys attending music festivals, concerts, and traveling with close friends, embracing a love for adventure and connection.

McKenzie

Dental Assistant
Originally from King George, VA, McKenzie recently made the vibrant city of Charlotte, NC her new home. A proud graduate of the University of Mount Olive, she earned her bachelor's degree in BioMedical Science in the spring of 2024. McKenzie furthered her education at the College of the Albemarle, where she completed her dental assisting training. While at the University of Mount Olive, she sharpened her teamwork and leadership skills as a member of the field hockey team. Her experience as a student-athlete greatly enhanced and contributed to her abilities in dental assisting. With a passion for pediatric dentistry, McKenzie aspires to continue her education and eventually open her own practice, providing compassionate care to children. When she’s not busy with her studies or working in the dental field, McKenzie enjoys staying active by hitting the gym, going for runs, and diving into a good book.

Francisco

Treatment Coordinator
Francisco is from Acapulco, which is on the south coast of Mexico, but has lived in North Carolina for almost all his life. He is fluent in both Spanish and English and has been in the dental field for 2 years. He enjoys bringing fun energy to the office, making sure everyone leaves understanding their treatment plan, and with a smile. In his free time, he likes to be outdoors and bike, or try new restaurants around the area.

Maria

Receptionist
Maria was born in Mexico and then moved to Missouri at the age of 7. She moved to Greensboro, NC in 2019 where she graduated from Dental Assisting School. Once she finished school, she decided to focus on being a front office patient coordinator. Maria has been in the dental field for over 2 years, gaining new and exciting experiences. At Dr. Dawson's office, she has had the pleasure of utilizing her dental assisting skills and really enjoys it! You may see her helping both at the front and in the back with the clinical team. Maria is also fluent in both English and Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs, her family, and exploring new restaurants!

Operations Manager
Melanie recently relocated to the Charlotte area from Northern Virginia. A proud James Madison University graduate, she brings valuable experience in the dental field and currently serves as the Operations Manager. With a background as an orthodontic treatment coordinator, Melanie is passionate about creating an organized, welcoming environment for both patients and team members. Outside the office, she enjoys trying new workout classes, exploring local restaurants, and shopping around town.

Dental Assistant
Tivia is a compassionate Dental Assistant who graduated in July 2024. She’s passionate about helping patients feel more confident in their smiles and enjoys being a part of their journey toward better oral health. Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Tivia grew up in the Bronx before making the Carolinas her home in 2016. Outside of the office, she loves traveling and baking in her spare time.

Insurance Coordinator
Michelle brings four years of extensive experience in dental insurance, driven by a genuine passion for helping patients navigate coverage with ease and confidence. Originally from the Philippines, she approaches her work with accuracy, efficiency, and a strong work ethic. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring books on human behavior and legal aspects, shopping for unique finds, and relaxing with music.

Front Office and Dental Assistant

Tyler graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in December 2024. She is passionate about patient care and is dedicated to making sure every patient feels comfortable and at ease during their visit. Known for her friendly personality and love of conversation, she enjoys building connections with patients and helping them feel heard and supported.
With plans to attend dental school in the future, Tyler is excited to continue growing in the field and learning more about the clinical side of dentistry.
Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, reading, and hiking. One of her favorite destinations so far has been Japan!

Receptionist and Insurance Coordinator
Rendell is a dedicated dental industry professional from the Philippines with 9 years of experience, beginning in dental insurance and now proudly serving at Dawson Modern Dentistry. Over the years, he has developed a deep understanding of the value of oral health and brings a genuine passion for customer support to his work. Outside the clinic, Rendell enjoys jogging and unwinding with thought-provoking podcasts.

Receptionist and Hygiene Coordinator
Jefferson brings over six years of customer service experience, starting out in client relations and later working as a medical interpreter. He enjoys connecting with patients and making their visit as comfortable as possible. Outside the clinic, you can usually find Jefferson playing soccer, training, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
